Old Fort Jackson a Happening Site for Memorial Day
The Coastal Heritage Society invites the public to join us to celebrate Memorial Day at historic Old Fort Jackson on Sunday, May 30th and Monday, May 31st, 2010 from 9am to 5pm. Step into the shoes of a historic soldier by trying on period uniforms and learning about life as a Civil War soldier. Our cannon and musket firings through the day will start your summer with a blast!

Memorial Day was initially enacted to honor Union and Confederate soldiers of the American Civil War. Honor the soldiers in your family by learning about those who served before them. Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend at Old Fort Jackson, located off President Street, 1 Fort Jackson Road.

Old Fort Jackson is operated by the Coastal Heritage Society, a non profit organization that preserves two National Historic Landmarks. The mission of the Coastal Heritage Society is to preserve the cultural heritage of coastal Georgia and adjacent regions and to provide relevant educational experiences for the public.
