Sept. 28, 2012 - The Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run is pleased to announce the winner of its SCAD poster and t-shirt design contest. Dre Smith, a student from Professor Jason Fox's Illustration class, was named the contest winner and received a grand prize of $400 funded by the Greater Savannah Area Sports Council.

The t-shirt design contest is held in conjunction with one of Savannah's premier events, the Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run, which will be held in Downtown Savannah on Saturday, December 1, 2012. The winning entry will serve as the official 2012 Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run t-shirt design and will be used in various promotional materials as well as in a SCAD animation competition for use in PSA's and commercials promoting the Bridge Run. The designs were judged based on creativity, originality and the use of required elements. The panel of judges included representatives from Enmark, Visit Savannah and the Greater Savannah Sports Council.

"This is a special opportunity for the Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run to partner with one of the finest art institutions in the country," said Joe Marinelli, President of Visit Savannah. "The design we have chosen is a wonderful reflection of the Bridge Run and gives us a truly unique marketing tool for 2012."

In addition to the new design, the Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run is excited to announce it has upgraded the participant t-shirt in 2012. All participants will now receive a long sleeve performance race shirt Made in the USA by Sport Science.
